Lima Nikkei

Perfect forDate night
A long table laid for lunch on the terrace at Lima Nikkei, against a stone wall

The verdict

Japanese-Peruvian cooking on a terrace over the water, and the rare meal where we would order every single thing again.

We went on a Sunday for lunch and had the whole place to ourselves, out on the patio with the ocean in front of us. There is a pisco sour list and we each took a different one.

Then a run of cold and hot plates that arrived in the right order without being asked, finishing with an arroz negro the waiter mixed at the table like a paella. Every single thing we ordered we would order again.

Skip if

  • You are two people. The cold plates are built for sharing and we would come with four or more.
  • You have a dish you are attached to. The waiter told us the menu changes from time to time, which he clearly felt was bittersweet, and so do we.

Would we go back? Yes, and we would order all of it again.
